Windows 7 sound input delay

I found the fix at the link below:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itpromedia/thread/6825ee2d-ad83-43bd-8d07-79cff7907b4a

  1. Right click the speaker icon (on windows 7) on the task bar then left click on "recording devices".
  2. Right click on the microphone and left click on properties. Go to the "listen" tab and make sure the "listen to this device" check box is unchecked.
  3. When you close the microphone properties window, the "sound" window should still be open. Go to "playback" tab, right click on speakers and left click on properties. Then click on the "levels" tab. You should see a microphone section with its playback volume muted. Unmute it and increase or decrease the playback volume as desired. There should be no noticeable delay when you speak into the microphone now. :)

Step by step instructions to clear the cache on your computer.

  2. Double click the "Internet Options" icon. Under "Temporary Internet Files," click "Delete Files". Click "Ok" to confirm. Click "Ok" at the bottom of the Window. Once all files have been deleted, exit Control Panel.

  3. Select "Tools" and "Options" from Firefox menu if you are using Mozilla Firefox as your browser. Click the "Network" tab. Click the "Clear Now" button in the "Cache" section.

  4. Press the "Start" button. Select the "Run" from the menu. Type "cmd' in the Run box. At the prompt, type "ipconfig /flushdns." You will receive confirmation when the command runs successfully. Type "exit" after the command has completed.

  5. Right click the "Start" button.  Choose "Explore" from the menu. Double click the "C:" drive. Navigate to the "Windows" folder and open it. Search for the "Temp" folder and double click it.

  6. Choose "Edit" from the menu. Click "Select All".  When all the temp files are highlighted, press the delete button on your keyboard and press "Yes" on the dialogue box that pops up to verify that you wish to delete these files..

HP Code Purple Issue

Code Purple error results when you try to install a Compaq/HP tattooed OS onto a non-tattooed motherboard.

If your computer is a Compaq or Hp, then your tattoo on your motherboard is either improperly tattooed, damaged or missing.

This tattoo can go missing if your computer has been in a shop and had its motherboard replaced with a non-Compaq/Hp tattooed motherboard. We all know Tattooing is a pain in the Butt!!!
